Redefining the art of bangle making, is what we; the largest machine made gold bangle manufacturers in India are all about. ORO was born from a rich lineage dating back to the 19th century. In the year of 1885, the Tikamdas Motiram Group crafted their first gold bangle and the rest from there has come down 126 years in history. In fact, one of the stores of the Tikamdas Group still flourishes at Cuffe Parade in Mumbai. Who says you are old at 126 years !?

Today ORO is owned by Raia Jewels Pvt Ltd, which is in turn an offspring of the Tikamdas Motiram Group. Now, we at ORO are a perky and an exciting lot, possessing a rearing-to-go attitude with our two Directors who themselves are young and dashing.  One is Mr. Avinash Pahuja, the Director of Marketing and Operations at ORO. If you are amazed at the marketing strategies ORO has undertaken and the fact that it has a 1200 retailer network then, Mr. Avinash Pahuja is the man behind it. And if you have gone in a tizzy over the awesome designs of the ORO bangles then Mr. Ravish Pahuja, the Director of Design and Manufacturing, is the person responsible for it. Of course, not forgetting the 150 strong professional workforce who are dedicated and ruthless in realizing the vision of ORO.

We want to set benchmarks and break them ourselves for which novelty and innovation has become the norm. With those qualities we heralded the introduction of 18Kt gold bangles in India, exclusively done by us first. Innovation in ORO is on a run with no finish line. And lastly, we want to say that people matter, everyone in ORO, our suppliers, retailers and the end customers. That is why we are always striving to keep the people associated with ORO, even in the remotest possible way, happy at all times. It makes us feel better. That’s ORO.

ORO Newsletter - Sep 2010

It gives us great pleasure to announce that the IIJS was a grand success for the ORO family
The designs which we showcased were greatly appreciated by the attendees.  We thank the IIJS body and its members for organizing this successful event, as well as the people and dignitaties whose presence was an authentic influence to gauge its success.

At the IIJS, we showcased our range of products along with O-penabale; our newest launch and the first-of-its-kind in the machine-made bangle industry, which received great reviews from our clients. Our stall was awarded with the “Solitaire Best Booth Award, 2010”. This award was based on certain predefined parameters which included best customer service, design, lighting and ambiance.

We are glad for those who participated in the ORO lucky draw that was held at the IIJS. Every retailer received a raffle ticket for booking an order of 1 Kg or more. The orders which are processed prior to 8/10/2010 stand a chance to win a Corolla Altis displayed at the entrance of Hall 1 of the IIJS 2010. We also plan to have a special event to announce the winner on 10/10/2010.

We were the co-sponsors of the Retail Jeweller Awards recently held on 21/08/2010. The event was attended by the crème de la crème of the jewellery industry. At the event we had a lucky draw where a raffle ticket was given to all those who entered the award ceremony. The activity was adequately promoted at various places at the venue through effective use of eye-catching posters and danglers. At the Retail Jeweller Awards, the lucky winner’s name was picked out of the hundreds of people who attended the event carrying the raffle ticket. The winner, Mr. Kapil K. Sood, from Mahashe Jewellers Pvt. Ltd., Shimla, took home a designer ORO BANGLE. It was a great gift to his daughter, as it was also her birthday.
